✨Welcome to VenusgemsDesigns✨

Hi friends,
If you’re reading this, welcome. 💕
This is my very first blog post, which feels both exciting and mildly terrifying because now I have to figure out how to explain… all of this.
The stickers. The keychains. The trinkets. The glitter. The pink. The tiny thingamabobs.
The random collection of cute little objects that somehow turned into an entire business.
So let’s start from the beginning.
I grew up in the 2000s. And guys… WE HAD EVERYTHING.
Bratz dolls. Polly Pockets. Charm bracelets. Lip gloss that smelled suspiciously edible. Video games. Sticker collections. Tiny accessories hanging off literally everything. Life was colorful. Life was sparkly. Life was fun.
I remember spending hours playing with my Bratz dolls, changing their outfits, creating dramatic storylines, and acting like I was the executive producer of the world’s most chaotic reality show.
But then something happened that happens to most of us. We grew up. Ugh, I know! The 👏 Audacity 👏.
Somewhere along the way, it felt like there was this invisible rulebook that nobody gave me a copy of, but somehow everyone expected me to follow.
The rules went something like this:
✨ Be responsible.
✨ Be productive.
✨ Be professional.
✨ Be taken seriously.
And somehow…
✨ Stop being weird.
✨ Stop liking cute things.
✨ Stop collecting things.
✨ Stop playing.
Wait. What?
Nobody actually said that.
But somehow I heard it anyway. So I did what a lot of us do. I packed parts of myself away. Just little by little.
And BAM. 💥
Years go by.
Guys… I tried to do everything right. Seriously. Graduated from high school. Went to college. Got my Master’s degree.
BAM. 💥
Built a career.
BAM. 💥
Got married.
BAM. 💥
Started helping people for a living.
Today I work as a full-time therapist and write psychological evaluations for immigration cases. I help people navigate some of the hardest and most emotional moments of their lives. I also help run a charity organization with my family, where we travel to Ecuador, donate supplies, and help families build better futures.
And I genuinely love what I do. I really do. But something still felt… Off. Not “I need to quit my life and move into the woods.” Just… Off. Like I had forgotten something. Like I had left a piece of myself behind somewhere. And one day it hit me.
AHHHH. 😭
Guys...
I was missing pink.
I KNOW. Trust me. I laughed too. Because here’s the thing… I’m also the horror movie girl, the alternative rock girl, the true crime girl, the creepy lore rabbit hole girl, the supernatural girl, the video game girl, and the “tell me the weirdest fact you know” girl. But then I realized something that completely changed the way I saw myself.
Why was I acting like I had to choose?
Why couldn’t I be both?
Why couldn’t I love horror movies AND fairies?
Why couldn’t I love black AND pink?
Why couldn’t I love spooky stories AND glitter?
Why couldn’t I listen to alternative rock and then immediately blast a pop song with absolutely zero shame? Why couldn’t I be all of it?
The answer was… I could.
And so can you.
VenusgemsDesigns was born from that realization.
This shop isn’t really about stickers, or keychains, or bookmarks, or charms, or any of the other tiny thingamabobs you’ll find here. It’s about self-expression and creativity. It’s about giving ourselves permission to enjoy things again. It’s about making room for the parts of ourselves we thought we had to leave behind.
Whether it’s cute stationery for your desk, handmade accessories for your bag, or a sticker that perfectly matches your personality, every item is designed to celebrate the things that make you uniquely you.
As a therapist, I spend a lot of time talking about mental health. And one thing I’ve learned is that healing doesn’t always look the way people think it does. Sometimes healing looks like setting boundaries. Sometimes it looks like asking for help. And sometimes… It looks like buying a ridiculously cute keychain because it makes you smile.
No, seriously. There’s something magical about surrounding yourself with things that spark joy: colors, textures, movement, art, tiny dangling charms that your brain can’t stop fidgeting with.
Low-key… I think we’re all stimming a little bit. 😂
And honestly? Maybe that’s okay, maybe we’re supposed to.
Maybe we’re supposed to seek joy.
Maybe we’re supposed to play.
Maybe we’re supposed to create.
Maybe we’re supposed to take up space.
Maybe we’re supposed to be both.
Professional and playful, responsible and creative, serious and silly, dark and colorful, adult and childlike.
Maybe healing isn’t becoming someone new. Maybe healing is remembering who you were before the world told you who you should be.
So whether you’re here because you love stickers, keychains, trinkets, Y2K nostalgia, tiny collectibles, or you’re simply trying to reconnect with parts of yourself that got buried under responsibilities…
Welcome!
You’re in the right place.
And if nobody has told you lately:
You’re allowed to like cute things.
You’re allowed to be weird.
You’re allowed to take up space.
And you’re definitely allowed to carry way too many keychains.
Trust me on that one. 💖✨
Until next time,
